Oklahoma Sooners to Take On Stanford in Sun Bowl

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The bowl picks are in, and the Oklahoma Sooners find themselves in a place they haven't been since the 1981 season: playing in the Sun Bowl.

The Sooners will clash with the Stanford Cardinal Dec. 31, 2009 at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas.

Oklahoma is 4-6 in bowl games under head coach Bob Stoops, but half of those six losses have come in the past three seasons in BCS bowl games.
