School Band Director Charged

Haskell High School's band director is due in court Thursday, accused of sexually inappropriate behavior with student.  59-year-old Larry Scheer was charged Wednesday in Muskogee County District Court with two counts of forcible sodomy, after a student accused him of two instances. Haskell School's superintendent says Scheer was suspended from his duties last week. 

After being charged, Scheer was booked into the Muskogee County jail.

A Haskell school board will hold a special meeting Friday to consider a recommendation to dismiss Scheer.
