Wojcik Concocts Winning Formula At TU

TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Tulsa basketball coach Doug Wojcik has taken his team in two seasons from 20-game loser to 20-game winner. Now he's hoping to turn back the clock to the days when the Golden Hurricane were making postseason appearances on a regular basis.

The third-year Tulsa coach has a formula for how to get that process started, and it involves more than just piling up more victories.

Wojcik says he's also focusing on the team's RPI by improving the quality of Tulsa's opponents.

Wojcik has removed Division II opponents from the schedule and replaced them with the likes of Maryland and Colorado in a move aimed at RPI.

Plus, Tulsa can no longer be viewed as the doormat that had back-to-back 20-loss seasons before Wojcik was hired.
