OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is filing a lawsuit against an Oklahoma City television station for alleged racial and gender discrimination.
The lawsuit against KOKH and its parent Sinclair Broadcast Group says reporter Phyllis Williams was paid less than comparable white female and all male reporters.
Williams is black and has worked at the station since it began news operations in 1996.
Sinclair vice president Barry Faber says he hasn't seen the lawsuit but says that based on his knowledge of the facts the allegations are ``completely baseless.''
The lawsuit seeks back pay, compensatory damages and punitive damages.
