TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ University of Tulsa running backs Tarrion Adams and Courtney Tennial are each on the preseason watch list for the Doak Walker Award.

The award is named for three-time All-American Doak Walker of SMU to the top collegiate running back. Candidates must also be in good academic standing and on schedule to graduate.

Tennial led TU with 845 yards rushing last season and scored 14 touchdowns. Adams ran for 329 yards and had 362 receiving yards despite playing just nine games.
