GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Jeff Overton is poised for his first PGA Tour win after opening a three-shot lead after 54 holes of the Wyndham Championship.

Overton shot a 6-under-66 today and is 18-under for the tournament. Billy Mayfair carded an 8-under-64 and is part of a four-way tie for second with Anders Hansen, Carl Pettersson and Tim Petrovic

Overton overcame a bogey on his first hole with birdies on seven of his next 11 to take control.

Craig Kanada led for much of the day but he dropped five shots back after going triple bogey, bogey on 16 and 17.
