(Guthrie-AP) -- The assistant manager of the Rent-A-Center in Guthrie has been arrested in connection with the store manager's death.

Michael Anthony Rivera was booked into the city jail after being arrested about 1:30 AM Wednesday. He's suspected of killing Charles Dean Mynatt late Saturday.

Authorities have found items in Rivera's home that allegedly link him to the crime. They found a lock box with a digital camera and about the same amount of money that was stolen from the store.

Police Lieutenant Mark Bruning says Rivera had only been working at the Guthrie branch for about four days.

Officers found Mynatt about 5 AM Sunday. They had been checking on the store because its alarm hadn't been set the night before.
