Tallahassee, Florida-AP) -- Eddie Cannon struck out nine and allowed three runs to help Florida State beat Oral Roberts 6-to-4.

Cannon pitched for six and two-thirds innings yesterday to remain unbeaten.

He allowed consecutive singles to start the second inning. Then, Kevin Lamb hit a three-run home run to give Oral Roberts a 3-to-2 lead.

But Cannon settled down and allowed just two hits into the seventh inning before retiring to the bullpen. Kevin Lynch pitched one scoreless inning for his first save.

Aaron Cheesman led the Seminoles with two hits.

Sean Sorrow surrendered three runs in four innings of relief for Oral Roberts.
