The downturn in the economy is affecting Tulsa's annual Oktoberfest celebration. To help offset the financial difficulties faces by the festival this year, organizers are holding a garage sale Saturday.
The sale will be held Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM in the parking lot of the Akdar Shrine at 2808 South Sheridan. All funds will go to cover operating costs for this year's festival.
Oktoberfest will be October 16th through the 19th at the RiverWest Festival Park.
