WACO, Texas (AP) _ Paul Richmond hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday as Baylor defeated Oral Roberts 4-2.
Oral Roberts pitcher Rene Recio (2-2) allowed the Bears only three hits in the first eight innings. Recio struck out two and walked two.
In the ninth, Trey Webb led off with a double and Chris Durbin followed with a hit that bounced off the right center wall. Richmond then hit his third homer of the season.
Reliever Kyle Edens (1-1) got the victory for Baylor (7-4).
Oral Roberts (7-6) had taken a 1-0 lead in the second inning after Baylor starter Justin Taylor was called for two balks. Baylor tied it at 1-1 in the third and Oral Roberts took a 2-1 lead in the fourth when catcher David Castillo doubled to left to score Wilton Reynolds.
