(Tulsa-AP) -- Democrat Doug Dodd got the endorsement of the Tulsa Fraternal Order of Police Tuesday afternoon.

Dodd is running for the First District Congressional seat to be vacated by Republican Congressman Steve Largent, who resigned to run for governor.

Dodd is opposed by Republican state Representative John Sullivan and independents Neil Mavis and David Fares.

A special election is set for next Tuesday.
