(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Oklahoma Sooners expect to learn on Sunday who their Cotton Bowl opponent will be.

The most often mentioned possibilities are Arkansas and LSU.

LSU is expected to get the Cotton Bowl invitation if the Tennessee beats the Tigers in the SEC championship game Saturday.

The Cotton Bowl may choose Arkansas if LSU wins the SEC title game and earns a Sugar Bowl bid.

The Cotton Bowl will be played January 1st in Dallas.
