(Stillwater-AP) -- Oklahoma State's football team faces a different sort of test this week.

The Cowboys lost their season opener to Southern Miss on Saturday. Now they return home to play Louisiana Tech in the home opener this week.

Tech opened their season with a 36-to-6 victory over SMU.

Oklahoma State's defense will see plenty of passes this week. Louisiana Tech quarterback Luke McCown threw 35 passes last week. McCown set an NCAA freshman record last year when he threw 72 passes in a game.

Oklahoma State coach Les Miles says his team will be in for a dogfight if the Cowboys don't play with everything they have.
