(Tulsa) - Tulsa school board member Doug Dodd has submitted his resignation as he prepares to run for First District Congressional seat. His resignation is effective August 31st.
Dodd is the only Democrat so far to express interest in the seat being vacated by Republican U-S Representative Steve Largent.
Largent will resign in November as he prepares to run for governor.
G-O-P candidates include first lady Cathy Keating, state Senator Scott Pruitt and state Representative John Sullivan.
A date for a special election has not been set.
