(New York-AP) -- Cleveland's newest pitcher will be with the team when they play the Yankees today but he won't be talking.

The club says John Rocker won't speak to reporters until the Indians return to Jacobs Field on Friday. Two years ago, Rocker infuriated New Yorkers with comments about the city, prompting hostile reactions from fans when the then-Atlanta Brave appeared at Shea Stadium.

The Indians open a three-game series tonight at Yankee Stadium. The teams have split the six games they've played so far this year.

Chuck Finley (4-4) starts tonight for the Tribe. Randy Keisler (1-2) starts for New York.
