(Seminole-AP) -- Tulsa Memorial baseball coach Shannon Dobson is taking the head coaching job at Seminole State College.

Dobson will replace the retiring Lloyd Simmons.

Dobson played for Simmons at Seminole in 1983 and 1984, then played at the University of Oklahoma in 1985 and 1986.

Dobson spent two years at Memorial, finishing the past season with a 37-and-17 record and reaching the semi-finals of the Class Six-A state baseball tournament.
