(Dewey-AP) -- Dewey Mayor Jim Eppler says he'll resign from the post at the end of the month.

Eppler says he's stepping down after eleven years as mayor of the Washington County town to pursue other interests and to enjoy life. He says he and his wife decided in July he would step down.

Vice Mayor Joe Franco will serve as mayor until an election in April.
