Tulsa Police are investigating a series of car thefts. In this case, the drivers are to blame.

Officers have responded to several calls at convenience stores. Drivers are leaving their cars running while they quickly go inside. Then they come out, and their vehicles are gone. Tulsa Police officer Ryan Woods, “ When the weather gets colder, people leave their cars running and they'll run into the store, other people don't want to walk and it's a crime of convenience.”

Officers say this is a problem they expect to see in the coming weeks as the thermometer dips below freezing.
