(Ada-AP) -- The Chickasaw Nation is buying a 94-year-old theater in Ada.
Tribal Governor Bill Anoatubby says it's a way of diversifying the tribe's investments.
The McSwain Theater first offered vaudeville shows. It closed as a movie theater in the mid-1980s and has offered live entertainment again since 1991. Anoatubby says musical performances will probably continue there.
The Chickasaws also have a bank, a radio station and a chocolate factory. The tribe has bought a ranch near Davis and has travel plazas, gaming centers, tobacco shops and trading posts.
