Roughhousing gone too far. That's how the defense tried to paint the case of a former Webster High School student on trial in juvenile court accused of assaulting a teammate.
The defense called several former ninth grade football players to the stand who Friday described the incident as horseplay.
And several boys testified the alleged victim was smiling and joking after the incident. One witness did admit that part of the alleged victim's bottom was exposed when he walked in.
The alleged victim says a group of teammates held him down, pulled down his pants and assaulted him with a broomstick in a locker room last fall.
Both sides are expected to give closing arguments Monday.
