(Sand Springs-AP) -- A Sand Springs man is dead after a head-on collision Friday in Tulsa County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Phillip Stephens was dead at the scene and was trapped inside his car for more than hour.

A second Sand Springs driver involved in the crash was also injured. Patrick Cody is in stable condition at a Tulsa hospital.

Troopers say the crash happened when Stephens' car crossed traffic and struck Cody's sport utility vehicle. Stephens' car then flipped and came to rest on its roof.
