(Los Angeles-AP) -- A judge is to consider a request by attorneys for Robert Blake and his bodyguard to delay a preliminary hearing in their murder case until November -- because they need time to review new evidence just disclosed by prosecutors.

Blake's attorney Harland Braun says they include documents, tape recordings and exhibits containing sordid details about the actor's slain wife, Bonny Lee Bakley.

He says the new information could lead to other suspects in Bakley's murder besides his client.

A D-A's spokeswoman says prosecutors would like to have a preliminary hearing ten days from tomorrow.

Braun says the new evidence includes a taped conversation between Bakley, and an unidentified person she was encouraging to murder the wife of singer Jerry Lee Lewis so that she could become his wife.
