Tulsa Police’s cold case squad has struck again. This time detectives have solved a 29-year-old murder.
Brothers Marcus Harris and Felton Daniel were walking along North Lansing in June of 1973 when someone opened fire. Marcus was killed, even though police say Felton was the target.
Now 29 years later, Felton called police and came clean, telling them who fired the shots. Tulsa Police Sgt Mike Huff, "Felton had been involved in a domestic situation and was shot by someone he didn't know, but, in retaliation for a domestic dispute."
Police matched the new information with notes taken from the original investigation and it led them to one man. They learned their suspect died in a Kansas City prison three years after the Tulsa murder.
