Garlic eating goat nearly dies

(Locust Grove-AP) -- An 8-year-old goat named Jay is being nursed back to health by his owner after nearly dying from an infection and reaction to garlic he'd eaten.

Jim Baker of Locust Grove says Jay underwent a tracheotomy and his neck has to be cleaned to keep the airway open.

Baker also gives Jay physical therapy, including a leg massage to maintain blood flow.

The northeast Oklahoma man says he cares so much about the goat because Jay is his buddy and his confidant.

Baker says he lives alone and discusses the world's problems with Jay.
