(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Energy experts will analyze the nation's tight natural gas and crude oil supplies at an energy summit in Oklahoma City today.
Richard L. Hess is the summit's coordinator. Hess says one of the purposes of the summit is to examine energy supply and price issues, especially with winter weather approaching.
Hess says natural gas utilities and propane marketers throughout the country are expecting tight supplies and higher prices this year.
Electric deregulation will also be discussed during the summit. Legislation to deregulate Oklahoma's electrical utility industry is expected to be taken up by the Legislature next year.
Governor Keating is co-host of the summit with state Senator Kevin Easley of Broken Arrow and state Representative Larry Rice of Tulsa.
