(Tulsa-AP) -- Tulsa's sophomore quarterback says he's pleased to rack up big numbers in the passing game but it doesn't account for much if the team isn't winning.
Josh Blankenship threw for a career-best 373 yards and two touchdowns. But he also fumbled twice and threw an interception in Tulsa's 36-to-26 loss to Oklahoma State last weekend.
Blankenship says he made too many costly mistakes in the game.
He admits his team proved something to itself by rallying with 19 points in the second quarter. Last year's team was often accused of giving up too easily after falling behind.
Blankenship's 373 yards represented the tenth-best passing game in Tulsa history.
