PITTSBURGH (AP) _ A house fire early Tuesday killed five children ages 2 to 7, authorities said.

Flames were shooting from all three floors of the building when firefighters arrived at the scene in the city's East Liberty section, officials said. The children's bodies were found on the second floor.

Two children were taken to the hospital. As many 12 people may have been living in the home with their single mothers, authorities said.

The fire was reported around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday.
