OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Nebraska scored single runs in the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 8th innings and held off Texas A&M 5-3 in the opening game of the Big 12 baseball tournament in Oklahoma City.
The Cornhuskers' D.J. Belfonte had 3 hits and scored twice and Nebraska's Craig Corriston also scored 2 runs while Andy Gerch drove in 2 in the win.
Tony Watson gave up 2 runs over 5 1-3 innings for the win. Matt Foust gave up 1 run while going 3 2-3 innings for the save.
