OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Lauren Eckermann pitched a 1-hitter to lead #2 seed Oklahoma to a 5-0 victory over 7th-seeded Kansas in a quarterfinal game Friday.
Lindsey Vandever went 1-3 with 2 RBIs for the Sooners (50-6), who advanced to Saturady’s semifinal round against 3rd-seeded Missouri.
Kansas (33-24-1) was eliminated in its second game of the day after beating Iowa State in 8 innings in the first session.
Eckermann (32-3) pitched a complete game, striking out 6 and walking 2.
Kassie Humphreys (19-15) allowed 5 hits and 5 runs, 3 earned, in 4 2-3 innings for Kansas.
