ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- The Texas Rangers today claimed pitcher Ezequiel Astacio off waivers from the Houston Astros.

Astacio spent parts of the last two seasons with the Houston organization.

He was 5-6, with a 6.02 ERA in 28 appearances (14 starts).

Astacio spent most of last year with AAA Round Rock.
