OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Oklahoma City police are crediting witnesses to a fatal motorcycle crash with preventing the accident from becoming a hit-and-run.

Officers say a pickup truck driver made a wrong turn in an intersection and hit a motorcycle at Southwest 36th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue Monday night.

When the driver of the pickup tried to drive away, several of the witnesses prevented him from doing so.

Lieutenant Isaac Goodman says there were several witnesses who stood both in front of and behind the vehicle. One of the witnesses punctured his tires to keep the vehicle from driving off.

The motorcyclist died at the scene.

Thirty-three-year-old Rodrigo Juarez faces several complaints, including negligent homicide and driving without a license.
