NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Cory Williamson delivered an RBI triple in the bottom of the sixth inning to give OU a 4-to-2 victory over Creighton.

Tuesday's win extended the Sooners' winning streak to eight games and improved their overall record to 10-and-4. The Bluejays dropped to 5-and-5 with the loss.

Creighton took an early 2-to-0 lead with solo runs in the second and third inning off OU starter Joseph Hughes. The OU offense awoke to rally for the fifth straight game with three runs in the sixth inning and added an insurance run in the seventh.

Hughes won his second straight midweek start with four hits and two runs allowed in 6-and-two-thirds innings of work. The left-hander struck out one and walked two to improve to 2-and-1.
