NEW YORK (AP) _ The NFL is looking into reports that a Pittsburgh Steelers doctor was on the customer list of a Florida pharmacy whose owners have been indicted by a grand jury in Albany, New York. But it's nothing far from the ordinary.
League spokesman Greg Aiello says the league routinely checks out reports about activities with drugs or other substances that involve NFL personnel.
Records show the doctor purchased about $150,000 worth of testosterone and human growth hormone and put it on his personal credit card.
The Steelers say the doctor has assured them that he made the purchase for his personal practice.
