TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Lawrence Kinnard scores 17 points and keys a 12-to-3 second-half run with two 3-pointers and a put-back as Alabama-Birmingham outlasts cold-shooting Tulsa 62-to-57 Wednesday night.
The run turned a 38-to-36 deficit into a 48-to-41 lead for UAB with 7:33 left.
Tulsa, which shot just 37.9 percent, could not generate enough offense to get back in the basketball game.
The loss by Tulsa dampened the Golden Hurricane's flickering hopes for a possible National Invitation Tournament bid. TU is 16-and-10 overall and 6-and-7 in Conference USA play.
