STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy says he hopes to hire a new defensive coordinator within a week to ten days.

Gundy says he's focusing on finding a coach to replace Vance Bedford now that recruiting is over. Gundy says he's had preliminary discussions with some candidates and will begin interviewing coaches this weekend.

Gundy announced after the season that Bedford would not return as defensive coordinator.
