NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Another day, another honor for Oklahoma linebacker Rufus Alexander.

Alexander is being named to the American Football Coaches Association All-America team. The team is selected in vote of NCAA Division One coaches.

The award comes after Alexander was named Big 12 defensive player of the year by league coaches on Tuesday _ then was named Associated Press Big 12 defensive player of the year in a vote by writers who cover Big 12 teams.

He becomes the 142nd All-American in OU history and leads the Sooners with 95 tackles.
