Oklahoma State will play the season football opener next September in Athens, Georgia against the Georgia Bulldogs. Then in 2009, Georgia will travel to Stillwater to play OSU.

The deal was brokered by ESPN and will include guaranteed TV exposure for OSU next year.

The 2009 game will be the first game in the completely renovated Boone Pickens Stadium.

Next year's game at Georgia will be the first between the two schools since Georgia beat OSU 20-7 in Stillwater in 1947. The Bulldogs also beat the Cowboys in 1946, 33-13 at Athens.
