NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops says he'll be taking on an old friend when the Sooners host Iowa State tomorrow.
ISU coach Dan McCarney was an assistant at Iowa when Stoops played and later was a graduate assistant for the Hawkeyes under Hayden Fry.
Stoops says McCarney was a mentor who became a great friend as they often went to games and on recruiting trips together.
OU hosts ISU starting at 11:30 A-M.
