Bristow authorities say a man there was beaten nearly to death when he went to his girlfriend's home Friday afternoon.

Investigators say he was punched, kicked and stomped by a friend of the girlfriend's family.

Authorities believe that friend was 42-year-old Jerry Smith and they want to find him. They say he may be in the Milfay area between Bristow and Stroud.
