ARDMORE, Okla. (AP) _ Two people are being held in the Carter County Detention Facility on child neglect complaints in connection with the death of an 8-month-old child.
Ardmore Police Department Captain Leroy Johnson says police arrested 21-year-old Jennifer Pfleger and 22-year-old Joseph Wilson yesterday after a criminal investigation into the infant's death.
Investigators found the child's body shortly after noon after receiving reports of a dead baby at a trailer park. Officer's found the baby's lifeless body on the floor of a mobile home.
Johnson says the child appears to be a victim of neglect. The state Medical Examiner's office in Oklahoma City has not yet determined the cause of death.
A bail hearing for Pfleger and Wilson is set for Monday.
