OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Authorities say no charges will be filed against people who sent an envelope containing a white powder last week to a lawmaker at the state Capitol.

Public Safety Commissioner Kevin Ward says officials interviewed the people who sent the package and determined there was no malicious intent. Ward says officials think the powder accidentally got into the envelope.

State Representative Darrell Gilbert and his legislative assistant were kept in their offices for more than three hours last week until tests showed the substance wasn't hazardous.

Gilbert says the envelope contained documents from some people in his Tulsa district who wanted his help in starting an investigation.
