CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) _ Authorities in Rogers County say at least five recent fires are the work of an arsonist.

Northwest Rogers County Fire Battalion Chief Donny Halfhill says the latest fire was yesterday in an area between Oologah and Claremore. Halfhill says by the time the fire was put out it was too dark to search for a cause, but says the fire is suspicious.

Other fires have been in an area between Oologah and Claremore, near Oologah, west of Talala and near Will Rogers Downs horse racing track.
