OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says it is investigating an alleged alcohol related traffic accident involving a state lawmaker and whether a trooper helped the lawmaker.
Public Safety Commissioner Kevin Ward says investigators have information that a lawmaker may have been involved in an "incident" and that alcohol may have been involved also. He says the agency is looking into what role a trooper had in the incident and what the trooper should, or should not, have done.
Ward would not release the name of the legislator.
