One of two escapees from an Oklahoma prison in LeFlore County was recaptured in the Amarillo, Texas area on Saturday.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections says the two, Kenneth Knutson and Steven Capps were reported missing August 1st from the Jim Hamilton Correctional Center near Hodgen.

Knutson was arrested following a traffic stop near Amarillo.

Knutson says he and Capps jumped a train to Shreveport, Louisiana. He says when they arrived in Shreveport, they parted ways.

Capps remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous.
