BIXBY, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating the drowning death of a 2-year-old boy who fell into a swimming pool at a Bixby home.

Bixby police say the toddler drowned Friday evening after accidentally falling into a backyard pool.

Police say the child was taken to a Tulsa hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Bixby Police Department and the State Medical Examiner's Office are investigating.
