A woman was killed along Turner Turnpike Wednesday morning in a crash along an on-ramp near Stroud, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Wendi J. Wright, 41, of Stroud, died after her 2014 Dodge Challenger was struck by a 2019 Nissan Frontier driven by Edmond resident Jesse O. Hardridge, 40, just after 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Troopers said Hardridge was traveling westbound along the turnpike when he left the roadway and ended up in the westbound on-ramp, hitting Wright's Challenger.
Hardridge was taken to a nearby hospital in guarded condition.
