Moderna stock skyrocketed on word that they might be onto a vaccine for COVID-19, even though it's only been tested on 8 people.
And other pharmaceutical companies are into human testing of their own vaccines.
I said I'm not surprised with the world's greatest minds ganging up on the problem, but most of you said not so fast.
Elizabeth first: "You have to have a larger sample size to determine if immune effect is significant."
Kelly from OKC: "I am against it until it can go through the proper testing. It appears safe they say, but is it really?"
But James wrote: "Go for it. Seems we take way too long to test and evaluate medicine and other things."
Misty from Tuttle said: "I don't see how it's possible to already have a vaccine that is safe just 4 or 6 months after the pandemic started. It's definitely a no for my family!"
Russ said: "It is my understanding that an effective vaccine has never been developed for this type of virus. Not sure I have any faith that they have come up with one so quickly for this."
Tori in Moore said: "I'm definitely pro-immunization but as a nurse, I'd be very hesitant to take one developed so quickly."
Finally, Debbie from Butler: "I'm so glad! I believe in vaccinations and I'll be first in line to take it!"
I'm Kelly Ogle and that's YOUR 2 Cents.
