OHP Searching For Driver In High-Speed Pursuit Near Norman

OHP Troopers say they are still searching for the driver that led them on a pursuit that ended around 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Troopers say the pursuit start out as a traffic stop for speeding near I-35 & Robinson in Norman. That's when the driver led them on a chase on I-35 reaching speeds over 100 mph. The suspect caused one accident with someone driving a Mercedes just South of 12th street.

The suspect drove over the median and onto the service road damaging his car and shredding his tires. Troopers say the suspects then fled on foot. Troopers were able to catch and detain the passenger of that vehicle but say they are going to let him go because he doesn’t know anything about why the driver ran.
