Oklahoma City Businesses Damaged After Weekend Protests

Monday, June 1st 2020, 8:10 am

After two days of protest, some Oklahoma City businesses are picking up the pieces.

Many areas saw damage including multiple business off Classen, and others off Shartel.

Both Bob Moore Corporate Headquarters and the nearby Valir Health saw damage. Through the weekend other places like Walgreens, Family Dollar and a local non-profit saw damage as well.

Early Monday morning, cleanup crews were out, and many were filled with emotions.

“We support our African American friends, and we hate what happened. That the people who have died have died, and they didn’t deserve it. We just want to help them, and we want to do better,” said Kay Prett, a Local Volunteer.

News 9 will have coverage as the situations unfolds.
