Oklahoma City Public Schools confirmed Wednesday that an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
The district said it was made aware of the positive test late Tuesday.
The employee, who was not identified by name, is a School Nutrition Services employee from John Marshall Enterprise Middle School. The district noted that the employee was not "directly involved in meal preparation or distribution."
The school's staff has been notified of the test and recommended other employees to self-quarantine for 14 days while the building is being cleaned, according to the district.
Meanwhile, OKCPS said its "Grab & Go" style meals will be prepared at a different location and brought to John Marshall Enterprise Middle School.
